EN Standards: Compliance with EU Directives/CE Marking

CE marking is a safety mark required to be affixed to designated products (only those products required by the Directive) distributed in the European Union (EU) region, indicating compliance with the mandatory safety requirements of the EU Directive.
Depending on the product, CE marking is available either through certification by an "authorized body" or through self-certification by "self-declaration".

CE(EMC)

Equipment that may cause electromagnetic interference or that may be impaired by electromagnetic waves.

CE(LVD)

Devices powered by 50~1000 V AC and 75~1500 V DC.

UL/cUL Standards

UL

Products can be shipped with the UL mark if they conform to the safety standards prepared by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. UL compliant products are highly valued in the United States and are a condition of trade in many industries (e.g., manufacturers).

cUL

A certification standard for Canada that UL tests and issues certification based on the CSA standard.

KC marking/Korea safety certification mark

The KC marking is a safety certification mark that is required to be affixed to designated products distributed in South Korea (products that require statutory certification of safety, quality, and environment), and indicates compliance with various regulatory requirements.
