Registration Terms and Conditions

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (hereinafter "Mitsubishi Electric") hereby sets forth the following registration terms and conditions (hereinafter "these Terms"). Any matters not provided for by these Terms shall be governed by the " Terms of Use" on Mitsubishi Electric's Global Website.

Article 1: Definitions

Definitions for expressions used in these Terms are set forth below.

(1) "These Services" refer to network services (but also include the sending of e-mail magazines, e-mail newsletters, etc.) provided by Mitsubishi Electric on this registration-only site managed by Mitsubishi Electric on the Internet.

(2) "Registrants" refers to individuals who have completed registration procedures as prescribed in Article 3 and who have received authorization from Mitsubishi Electric to use these services.

(3) "IDs" refers to e-mail addresses that are provided to registrants to enable them to use these Services and are entered during registration procedures as prescribed in Article 3.

(4) "Registrant Information" refers both to information sent to Mitsubishi Electric during registration procedures and modification procedures established in Article 3, and to IDs and passwords outlined in Article 4.

(5) "Registrant Information Databases" refers to all registrant Registrant Information databases maintained by Mitsubishi Electric located in Japan.

Article 2: Use of These Services

1. Using these Services requires agreeing to these Terms and completing registration procedures established in Article 3.

2.When using any of these Services, Registrants must observe the rules prescribed in these Terms as well as methods specified by Mitsubishi Electric, and must observe Mitsubishi Electric's instructions in the event of a problem concerning the use of these Services.

Article 3: Registration and Registration Approval

1. To apply for registration, users must fill out a new registration form as prescribed by Mitsubishi Electric and include information that includes name, e-mail address (mobile phone addresses are not permitted), address, and telephone number. This form must be either mailed or e-mailed to Mitsubishi Electric.
Registration of personal information belonging to persons age of 17 and under must be done with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Input personal information will be sent to Registrant Information Databases located in Japan and be managed stringently and responsibly by Mitsubishi Electric.

2. The applicant will be considered a certified registrant after Mitsubishi Electric approves registration and notifies the applicant of this approval.
However, Mitsubishi Electric may not approve registration if it is deemed that registration approval would be inappropriate due to the applicant's being in, or possibly being in, violation of these Terms.

3. Should there be any changes to information mailed or e-mailed to Mitsubishi Electric as per Section 1, the registrant shall notify Mitsubishi Electric of these changes in accordance with procedures prescribed by Mitsubishi Electric.

4. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable in the event that the registrant suffers damages due to failure to notify Mitsubishi Electric of such changes via the aforementioned procedures.

5. Registration approval will be revoked in the following cases. In each case, Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable for disclosing the reasons for such actions.

(1) If the registrant information contained any falsifications or errors

(2) If registration has been revoked due to past violations of Registration Terms and Conditions

(3) If a registrant registers twice

(4) If the registrant takes any actions prohibited by Article 9

6. If a registrant does not log in for more than a year, Mitsubishi Electric will erase that registrant's registration information from its database.

7. Mitsubishi Electric shall reserve the right to delete from the Registrant Information Database registrant information for registrants who have not received e-mail from Mitsubishi Electric for longer than six months.

8. Mitsubishi Electric shall reserve the right to delete from the Registrant Information Database registrant information for which a mobile e-mail address has been registered.

9. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable for deleting Registrant Information as a result of Sections 6 through 8.

10. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable in the event of damages suffered by the registrant as a result of matters covered in the previous paragraph.

Article 4: IDs and Passwords

1. Mitsubishi Electric will issue IDs and passwords to approved registrants to allow them to use these Services.

2. Registrants shall assume liability for the management and use of IDs and passwords and shall not lend or transfer this information to a third party.

3. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable for damages incurred as a result of a user's error in the usage of IDs or passwords or the usage of that information by a third party.

4. Registrants shall promptly inform Mitsubishi Electric in the event that their IDs or passwords are lost or stolen.

Article 5: Sending and Receiving E-mail

1. When sending to or receiving e-mail from Mitsubishi Electric in connection with these Services, registrants shall use the e-mail address they provide when completing registration procedures established in Article 3.

2. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable for the content of any e-mail sent by the registrant in connection with these Services.

Article 6: Usage by Mitsubishi Electric of Information Provided by Registrants

1. Mitsubishi Electric may need to use information provided by registrants in order to provide these Services.
Mitsubishi Electric also reserves the right to use Registrant Information to the extent necessary to conduct business that includes providing suitable responses to inquiries, conducting market research, or introducing new products.

2. Entrusting personal information
Mitsubishi Electric may entrust to a third party the handling of all or a portion of the personal information in its possession to the extent prescribed in the intended purpose(s) for such information.

3. Provision of Registered Personal Information to Third Parties

(1) Intended purpose
Mitsubishi Electric and its affiliates and business partners reserve the right to use Registrant Information to the extent necessary to conduct business that includes providing suitable responses to inquiries, conducting market research, or introducing new products.

(2) Personal information provided to third parties
Information such as registrant name, address, and telephone number provided on forms that include registration forms, consultation forms, and seminar registration forms

(3) How information is provided to third parties
Information is provided by e-mail to affiliates and business partners.

4. Joint use of personal information
Mitsubishi Electric may need to share the use of personal information collected from clients with its affiliates

5. Usage of cookies
Mitsubishi Electric uses cookies in conjunction with these Services to improve the quality of services provided to its users. Registered members with cookies turned off in their browser settings will be unable to log into these Services or make use of certain services.

6. Registered members shall transfer to Mitsubishi Electric the rights to all information (including registered members' concepts concerning technologies, sales, products, etc., but excluding personal information) they provide to Mitsubishi Electric or its website in connection with these Services at the moment that such provision is made, and registered users shall not provide any information for which rights are not transferrable. Mitsubishi Electric shall assume no liability regarding the use, evaluation, or retention of confidentiality concerning this information.

Article 7: Revision or Deletion of Information Provided by Registered Members

1. Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to, without notifying the registrant in advance, revise or delete information registered members provide to Mitsubishi Electric or our website in connection with these Services. In such cases, Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable for disclosing the reasons for such actions.

2. Mitsubishi Electric assumes no liability for revising or deleting data provided to us or our website by registered members, as per the preceding paragraph.

Article 8: Protection of Intellectual Property Rights

1. Information concerning products, services, technologies, etc. provided by registered members through these Services shall be protected by industrial property law, the Copyright Act, and other intellectual property right laws. Registered members may only use this information for private and non-commercial purposes. Consent from Mitsubishi Electric will be required when using this information for any other purpose (including reproduction, transmission, distribution, transfer, adaptation, etc., and the same applies to the following paragraph).

2. Company names, trademarks, and emblems used on Mitsubishi Electric's website are protected by the Trademark Act, Unfair Competition Prevention Act, and other laws. Registered members may not use these without the express consent of Mitsubishi Electric.

Article 9: Prohibited Acts

1. Registrants shall not take any action applicable to the below items where it concerns the use of these Services or matters relating to the use of these Services.

(1) Acts that violate the property rights (including copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights) of Mitsubishi Electric or a third party

(2) Acts that slander or that violate the right of likeness (image rights) or privacy of Mitsubishi Electric or a third party

(3) Criminal acts

(4) Acts that go against public order

(5) Electioneering or similar acts

(6) Actions that involve going outside the scope of Article 8 Section 1 provisions in using information acquired through these Services, without obtaining prior consent from Mitsubishi Electric

(7) Actions that involve using, without the prior consent of Mitsubishi Electric, these Services to conduct business or provide information for commercial purposes

(8) Actions that prevent the administration or maintenance of these Services or other business operations managed by Mitsubishi Electric, or actions that do or ultimately could damage the reputation of Mitsubishi Electric

(9) Falsifying information related to these Services or provided through these Services

(10) Transmitting or installing malicious computer software

(11) Actions that do violate or may be in violation of laws or regulations

(12) Disclosing to third parties or allowing third parties to use registered user information

(13) Using these Services under a false identity (including non-existent persons)

(14) Actions in violation of these Terms, sign-up terms for these Services, etc.

(15) Any other actions which Mitsubishi Electric deems inappropriate

Article 10: Membership Cancellation

1. Registered users will have their membership canceled and will no longer be able to use these Services should any of the following occur.

(1) If Mitsubishi Electric revokes registration approval for the registered user

(2) If Mitsubishi Electric nullifies a user's registration based on the determination that the user violated these Terms or took action deemed inappropriate

(3) If the registered user requests that his or her membership be canceled in accordance with prescribed procedures

2. Membership cancellation may not be completed successfully if there are errors in the procedures referred to in paragraph (3) above.

3. Registered user information for users canceling their memberships will be erased from the Registrant Information Database for these Services.
However, Mitsubishi Electric may continue to inform the user of expositions, new products, services and other information even after membership cancellation. Users wishing to stop such notifications following membership cancellation should request a Suspension of Use.

4. Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to temporarily suspend the provision of services to a registered user before canceling his/her membership.

Article 11: Service Modification, Termination, etc.

1. Mitsubishi Electric may make additions to, modify, or partially terminate these Services without prior notice to registered users.

2. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable in the event of damages suffered by registered users as a result of matters covered in the previous paragraph.

3. Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to end any of these Services after first notifying registered users.

Article 12: Suspension of Services

1. Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to suspend the provision of these Services in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency situation, or in situations where the occurrence of such is likely, in situations where an inability to provide all services is likely due to unavoidable circumstances including the functional impairment of electrical communications equipment, or in unavoidable situations involving the maintenance or repair of Mitsubishi Electric's electrical communications equipment. In such situations, registered users will be notified in advance on Mitsubishi Electric's website, except in the case of emergencies.

2. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable in the event of damages suffered by registered users as a result of matters covered in the previous paragraph.

Article 13: Disclaimers

1. Mitsubishi Electric provides no guarantee of any kind regarding the completeness, accuracy, safety, etc. of text and other data provided by registered users through these services as there may be changes to, or hearsay introduced into, this information as a result of subjective assessments and the passage of time.

2. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable to registered users or any third parties concerning the use of these Services where no special provisions as part of a terms of service for Mitsubishi Electric's other services exist.

3. Mitsubishi Electric assumes no liability for websites accessed by registered users through hyperlinks. (The inclusion of a company's links on Mitsubishi Electric's website does not constitute an affiliate, business partner, or other such relationship between such companies and Mitsubishi Electric.) Users accessing the websites of Mitsubishi Electric affiliates linked to on Mitsubishi Electric's website must abide by the Terms of Use established by Mitsubishi Electric as well as that established by the company being linked to.

4. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable for any damages suffered by registered users due to falsification or erasure of data related to these Services by registered users or third parties.

5. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held liable for any damages suffered by registered users due to the erasure of registered user information as prescribed in Article 3 and Article 10.

6. Users who are not using the recommended browser, or who have not configured their browser settings and thus have not prepared their computer to use Mitsubishi Electric's website may be unable to use, or experience technical difficulty when using, some of these Services.

7. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be legally obligated or held liable for preparation of the user's computer to access Mitsubishi Electric's website or configuration of the computer and communications devices that are necessary for the user's being able to use these Services.

Article 14: Governing Laws and Court with Jurisdiction

1. These Terms and these Services are subject to the laws of Japan.

2. If any dispute should arise in relation to these Terms or the use of these Services, the Tokyo District Court shall have competent jurisdiction.

Article 15: Disputes between Registered Users and Third Parties

1. All disputes between a registered user and third party shall be resolved at the expense and responsibility of the registered user.

2. If Mitsubishi Electric suffers any damages as a result of actions in the preceding paragraph, such damages will be compensated for in full by the registered user.

Article 16: Notifying and Contacting Registered Users

1. Mitsubishi Electric shall contact registrants using a means deemed suitable by Mitsubishi Electric from registered user information that includes e-mail addresses, addresses, and telephone numbers.

2. When notifying all registered users, Mitsubishi Electric may provide notification on its website in place of the means referred to in the preceding paragraph.

Article 17: Inquiries from Registered Users

1. Registered users wishing to inquire about these Services are generally required to e-mail the corresponding administrative office or fill out an inquiry form on Mitsubishi Electric's website.

Article 18: Revisions to These Terms

1. When notifying registered users of changes to these Terms or announcing such changes on our website, registered users will be considered to have agreed to the new terms and conditions and the revised terms and conditions shall go into effect.

The unauthorized reproduction or redistribution of articles, photographs, or illustrations on Mitsubishi Electric's website is forbidden.
