In the recent years, TFT LCD-module has been widely used in various environment and applications, such as GPS navigation system for vehicle and marine equipment, and outdoor use information display terminal like POS, ATM, and Kiosk. Outdoor-use products generally have anti-scratch, and waterproofed protective glass that is only bonded to the display edge by customer or rebuilt in another location. However, such modification leaves air space that causes poor visibility from light reflection and possible contamination by foreign particles. There are methods to bond the protective glass fully on to the display surface with resin, but in heavily increases customer assembly time and possibly increase quality concerns.
We developed glass bonded color TFT LCD module that is wholly bonded by resin to fulfill the outdoor-use products demand with excellent visibility.
