POSITION SUMMARY:

With minimal supervision this position will install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computer assets.  Will provide 1st and 2nd level computer support to MEUS employees on a daily basis.  Responsible for supporting desktop and laptop PC solutions.  This position will also work with multiple hardware and software platforms in a multi-site environment. 

 

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

·        Provide timely and efficient computer support to meet or exceed defined SLA’s

·        Completely document all problems and requests in IT Helpdesk ticketing system

·        Identify, research, and resolve technical problems with minimal assistance

·        Install, configure, and maintain PC workstations

·        Maintain workstation asset listing

·        Develop documentation, procedures, and train employees on various systems

·        Troubleshoot PC workstation hardware and software, printers and networking

·        Manage and troubleshoot e-mail, printers, network (wired and wireless), PC hardware/software, and various computer peripherals

·        Provide telecommunications equipment support (cell phones, PBX, VoIP)

·        Configure, perform, and maintain server backups

·        Travel to remote offices within the United States may be required

·        Collaborate and provide knowledge sharing with other members of the IT Helpdesk

·        Enforce and uphold IT policies.

 

The non-essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

·        Perform and assume other duties as required by management

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

·        Bachelors degree in CS or CIS/MIS required

·        2+ years experience supporting computers in a Microsoft environment

·        A+, Network+, MCSE, or MCP certifications are desirable

·        Experience working in a corporate environment desirable

·        Good analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all levels of employees. 

·        Ability to work both as part of a team and individually is essential.

·        Requires strong time management skills, detail oriented, and strong communication (written and verbal) skills

·        Highly motivated to work in a fast paced environment.

·        Ability to lift 50 lbs.
