Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Appoints Training Manager

July 30, 2001 --- Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc., has named Byron Havard, PhD, as training manager for its Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Advanced Products Division. Havard will be responsible for the development and growth of Mitsubishi Electric’s training program for HVAC contractors, as well as the company’s newly constructed training center in Lawrenceville, GA.

Prior to joining Mitsubishi Electric, Havard served as lead instructional designer at IBM, and as instructional technologist for ATT, both in Atlanta. He was also a course developer at Georgia State University in Atlanta, and is a part-time instructor at GSU.

A native of Atlanta, Havard received his PhD in Instructional Technology from Georgia State University and holds a Masters degree in Instructional Design. He is a member of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).
