Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. Establishes
Heroes of Flight 93 Memorial Fund at The Pittsburgh Foundation

Warrendale, PA, September 25, 2001 --- With an initial contribution of $100,000, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. has established the Heroes of Flight 93 Memorial Fund. Proceeds will finance the design/build and maintenance of a memorial at the crash site in Somerset, PA. The Heroes of Flight 93 Memorial Fund will be administered by The Pittsburgh Foundation. Mitsubishi Electric has also established an employee matching gift program to help generate additional dollars for the Fund.

Roger Barna, chairman/CEO of Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, said, "This fund will honor the passengers and crew of Flight 93 who lost their lives in an effort to overcome the hijackers during the September 11 terrorist attacks. We want to see that these Americans are recognized in a meaningful and tasteful way. They are true American heroes and deserve to be memorialized."

The Heroes of Flight 93 Memorial Fund will help support a non-profit organization that will oversee the design, construction and maintenance of the memorial. Fundraising goals and a timeline for building the memorial are still to be established.

The Pittsburgh Foundation is the 11th largest community foundation in the nation, with assets of approximately $548 million in 762 separate funds.
