WARRENDALE, Pa., February 20, 2007 — Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc., headquartered in Warrendale, Pa., has announced plans to expand its operations. A subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products was incorporated in 1985 and has been based in Thorn Hill Industrial Park since 1989.

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products’ expansion is due to increased market demand for existing products and its plans to sell more products offered worldwide by the parent company. Mitsubishi Electric Power Products presently supplies equipment and services for electric utility, water treatment and railroad industries, as well as uninterruptible power supplies and Diamond Vision™ stadium screens.

“We have added several new product lines in the few years, and have experienced quite a bit of growth,” said Jack Greaf, president/CEO of Mitsubishi Electric Power Products. “Despite an expansion in 2003, we still need more room. Naturally, we’re very pleased to be able to stay in Warrendale.”

In order to expand its operations, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products recently purchased the building and land between its existing Warrendale properties. This facility at 520 Keystone Drive is approximately 100,000 square-feet and will provide additional office, warehouse and production space.

The State of Pennsylvania has supported this expansion by offering the company an opportunity grant, tax credits for job creation, training assistance and low interest loans. Allegheny County has also supported this project by offering support for the purchase of new equipment and for training new employees.

The company expects to add jobs in all business areas with early emphasis on skilled technical, engineering, and project management positions.
