Mitsubishi Electric to Exhibit at CEATEC JAPAN 2010

Tokyo, September 17, 2010 - Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) today announced that it will exhibit its newest digital audio-visual products and other leading-edge technologies at CEATEC JAPAN 2010, scheduled to be held from October 5-9, 2010 at the Makuhari Messe exhibition hall in Japan.

Zones and Main Products for Exhibit

Visual Communications Zone
Centered around demonstrations that enable visitors to experience high-resolution 3D imaging with high-quality sound, Mitsubishi Electric will exhibit a broad range of its visual products and imaging solutions for home and public applications.
 ・ Theater exhibit using a prototype 3D home theater projector
 ・ 3D-ready, HDD-equipped Blu-ray player/recorder LCD television (REAL3D - MDR1 Series)
 ・ Laser television ("LaserVue")
 ・ Large-scale organic EL display (Diamond Vision OLED)
 ・ Large-scale visual information systems, including Diamond Vision LED (Resolia), ribbon boards, and a multi-LCD large-screen display system
 ・ LCD monitors
 ・ High-resolution image compression coding technology, etc.

Space Zone
This zone will introduce Mitsubishi Electric's space-related business, showing applications ranging from positioning, observation and communications, to transport and the environment. In a setting designed to symbolize outer space, the exhibit will combine models and visuals to show examples of how space applications support our daily life.

Environment/Energy Zone
This zone will focus on Mitsubishi Electric's environment and energy business, introducing initiatives related to smart grids, energy-efficient home appliances, and home appliance recycling.
 ・ Mitsubishi Electric smart grid experimental model
 ・ Home appliance recycling, energy-efficient home appliances, LED lighting, etc.

Environmental Consideration

The Mitsubishi Electric booth will incorporate energy-efficient LED lighting, as well as rental materials and equipment. Mitsubishi Electric shall continue seeking to contribute to the creation of a low-carbon society through efforts such as reducing CO2 emissions from its business activities and developing energy-saving products.
