Mitsubishi Electric Cooperates Fully with Inquiries Concerning Automotive Equipment Sales

Tokyo, July 20, 2011 - Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) underwent investigation by the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) on July 20 (JST) as a result of suspected infractions of Japan's Anti-Monopoly Act regarding sales of certain automotive equipment. Searches by the JFTC took place at the company's headquarters in Tokyo, its Chubu branch in Aichi prefecture and several sales offices.

Furthermore, the Northville office of Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, Inc., located in Northville, Michigan, was searched by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on July 19 (EDT) in relation to an inquiry regarding automotive equipment.

Mitsubishi Electric is fully cooperating with the investigations.
