[2D-CAD]

(1) CAD data file formats

Decompress the downloaded compressed files before use.
Import the data into your CAD software.
The DXF and DWG files do not include dimension lines or dimension labels.
Mitsubishi Electric has confirmed that the DXF and DWG files can be read with the CAD software listed above.

(2) Important

  • - The DXF files are intermediate files, so data compatibility is not perfect. Some CAD software may not read the files completely.
  • - The dimensions are given in mm in the DXF and DWG files and shown up to two decimal places.
  • - Some files are compatible with AutoCAD Release 14J/AutoCAD LT98/AutoCAD LT97/Auto CAD LT Release 2.
  • - The basic format of the decompressed 2D-CAD file name is as follows:
    "Product model name (lowercase alphanumeric characters)" + "_file version" + "extension".
    (If the product model name is LM-H2P1A-06M-4SS0, the file version is "a", and the data format is DXF, then the file name is lm-h2p1a-06m-4ss0_a.dxf.) However, some file names may not match the product model name.
  • - If the decompressed 2D-CAD file name differs from the selected product model name (due to identical external shapes), rename the file to match the selected model name using lowercase alphanumeric characters.

[3D-CAD]

(1) CAD data file formats

(2) Important

  • - The names of the downloaded compressed (zip) files may not always match the product model name.
  • - Decompress the downloaded compressed (zip) files before use.
  • - The basic format of the decompressed 2D-CAD file name is as follows:
    "Product model name (lowercase alphanumeric characters)" + "_file version" + "extension".
    (If the product model name is HF-KN053, the file version is "a", and the data format is IGES, then the file name is hf-kn053_a.igs.) However, some file names may not match the product model name.
  • - If the decompressed 3D-CAD file name differs from the selected product model name (due to identical external shapes), rename the file to match the selected model name using lowercase alphanumeric characters.

(3) 3D-CAD file models

  • - Details of the shape data are partly simplified to reduce the file size.
  • - Shapes that are not essential to the layout are omitted. This includes chamfering, corner radii, draft angles, screw threads, detailed screw head shapes, etc.
  • - Use the 3D-CAD data only for pre-design study.
  • - The content of the 3D-CAD data is subject to change without notice for the purposes of product improvement, etc.
  • - The 3D-CAD data is supplied in the formats listed above. If the imported data cannot be read correctly, import the data in a different format (STEP).
  • - The 3D-CAD data does not guarantee the specifications of the Mitsubishi Electric products. Mitsubishi Electric accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss or damages arising from the use of 3D-CAD data.
