Promoting Harmonious Coexisting in Nature at Our
Business Sites by Initiating Studies on Living Creatures

Purpose-driven Maintenance and Management of Green Spaces

The Sagami area, where the Sagami Factory is located, is an urban area that still retains natural features such as mountains, hills, and rivers in its surroundings. We have been actively participating in the maintenance of the nearby Sagamihara-Chuo Green Space and also engaging in biological surveys conducted by an environmental conservation group formed by local companies in Sagamihara City.

Drawing on knowledge and expertise of the region’s natural environment that we have developed over time, we established a biodiversity green space (approximately 6,000 m²) within the Sagami area while ensuring harmony with the surrounding ecosystem and consideration for wildlife. We designed the area for long-term sustainability by minimizing maintenance costs and labor and made the area an environment that is accessible to a wide range of wildlife. In August 2020, we created a biotope designed with consideration for the native ecosystem. Dragonflies have begun to appear and breed in the biotope.

We also manage a scenic green space (approximately 1,000 m²) intended to provide a pleasant view and stress relief to customers and employees visiting the Sagami area.
