EM-A series
The EM-A Series is a sensorless servo PM motor that provides both energy saving and greater precision in conveyor line applications. With salient-pole core technology, it realizes highly precise speed control comparable to that of servo motors without the use of a sensor, all in a significantly reduced volume compared to conventional induction motors (IM), contributing to downsizing of equipment.
In addition, it is designed without an encoder to simplify wiring and reduce failure risk. And because it is not subject to most international high efficiency regulations, it reduces the workload required for design and research toward global deployment. Plus, its design is free from rare earths to ensure stability in supply, addressing a wide range of needs faced by all involved in conveyor line management and design.

Through Mitsubishi’s unique salient-pole core and optimized magnet design, the motor volume has been reduced by up to 50% compared to conventional induction motors (IM), enabling significant downsizing for equipment. Plus, the high-efficiency PM motor reduces power consumption, supporting energy savings and carbon neutrality at workplaces without the workload for design changes.

Using Mitsubishi’s unique salient-pole core and control technology, the motor performs high-precision speed control and positioning without an encoder. The sensorless design reduces wiring time and minimizes failure risk while enabling dual benefits of improved conveyor line cycle times and enhanced equipment value at low cost.
