ABOUT
AI SPEC is a project that aims to make AI ethics relevant to each and every one of us by encouraging discussion. In recent years, as AI technology has spread more and more into the products and services we use every day, the issue of AI ethics has also become more apparent. As a company that develops AI technology, we at Mitsubishi Electric have a responsibility to face these issues head on, and this is what motivated our designers and AI researchers to set up this project.
We have created stories about a future that could happen.
Our aim is to stimulate discussion and conversation by asking questions to which we do not yet have
answers.
SF PROTOTYPES
Our stories depict various
possible futures.
Some people might see the futures we have envisaged as happy.
Others may view them as unwelcome.
The stories might be set in the distant future,
or they might
be about things that have already started to happen around us.
How do these
future worlds make you feel? What questions do they pose?

ACTIVITIES
AI SPEC started out
as a small internal initiative to create a space for discussions around AI ethics.
Now it is expanding into the wider community and the online world.
