IGBT modules for three-level inverter
While reducing the loss of power devices that comprise an inverter circuit is important to power loss reduction, the adoption of multi-level inverters is anticipated to further reduce power loss (achieve high efficiency.) Mitsubishi Electric has developed a power module that supports three levels by using a low-loss power chip and equipping the 3-level inverter with the necessary circuits.

- Power consumption cut by approx. 30%*1 to support three-level inverters
- We have developed a new package*2 which contributes to low inductance and simplification of the inverter circuit configuration
- IGBT specifications have been optimized*3 to contribute to development of a compact new package with low inductance
- We have included 4in1*4 /1in1/2in1 in the lineup to contribute to more compact inverters with greater design freedom

- ※2：We have developed new packages with innovative terminal positions; external dimensions are 130 mm x 67 mm for the 1in1 and 2in1 (C2) types, and 115 mm x 82 mm for the 4in1 type.
