Information and
Communication
Systems

From satellite systems and backbone systems for next-generation optical networks to the critical optical cross-connect systems that convert between optical and electronic signals, Mitsubishi Electric provides, integrates, and services the advanced information and communication systems that keep you connected.

ERP Systems and Data Centers

Mitsubishi Electric is a total information infrastructure provider, from system integration such as Enterprise Resource Planning systems and services provided by environmentally compatible data centers, to the remote operation and monitoring of customers’ systems through an Integrated Control Center manned around-the-clock, year-round by expert engineers. With unsurpassed reliability and security, Mitsubishi Electric helps protect and utilize one of our most precious resources — information.

Communication Systems

Mitsubishi Electric is playing an integral role in the development of the communications infrastructure. We are not only making optical-fiber-based, ultra-high-bandwidth access networks possible, but also making them easier to maintain and more economical with technology such as GE-PON (Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network). Our communication systems will shape the next generation communications infrastructure and revolutionize how people keep in touch.

SEA-ME-WE 4 Cable System

Capacity Upgrade of Four Submarine Cable Networks

Mitsubishi Electric embarked on the development of the optical submarine cable in 1990. In recent years, it has completed projects for the capacity upgrade of four submarine cable networks, namely the transatlantic TAT-14, the transpacific Asia America Gateway (AAG), the India-Middle East-Western Europe (IMEWE), and the South East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 4 (SEA-ME-WE 4) cable network that connects Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. The incorporation of Mitsubishi Electric’s technology has achieved network capacity upgrades of up to 40Gbps and 100Gbps in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans.
