Mitsubishi Electric would like to provide an update on the status of its production facilities in the Kumamoto area related to its Semiconductor & Device business following the “2026 Kumamoto Earthquake,” which occurred mainly in Kumamoto Prefecture on July 28, 2026.

Equipment restoration and startup procedures have been largely completed as projected in the announcement issued on August 3, and production operations have recovered to a level comparable to that prior to the earthquake.

Equipment restoration is currently progressing smoothly, and Mitsubishi Electric is aiming to return to largely normal production operations by the end of August.

No major damage to buildings has been identified, and cleanroom operations have resumed. Mitsubishi Electric is currently conducting equipment inspections and startup procedures. Production operations have been resumed sequentially from the afternoon of July 30 in processes where equipment startup has been completed.
