Framework for Responsible AI
Mitsubishi Electric Group launched the Maisart® brand in 2017 and announced our AI Ethics Policy in December 2021. In June 2025, we established categories for “high-risk” AI businesses based on the AI Ethics Policy. For businesses that fall under these categories, Risk Management Division conducts risk assessments from a third-party perspective, incorporating opinions from external experts as necessary, and ensures that management decisions are made accordingly.
In case that AI development and utilization within the company, each responsible corporate divisions supports both business units and R&D divisions.
Going forward, we will continue to provide products and services from both the perspectives of AI development/utilization and risk management, with the aim of delivering a human-centered, safe, and secure AI society.
