We enable the reduction of fuel consumption in automobiles by offering products that make engines more efficient as well as xEV equipment, thereby contributing to a decarbonized society. Motor Control Units for Electric Power Steering

3G-RI motor control unit for electric power steering
Electric power steering is a system that uses a motor to assist the driver’s steering torque. As part of such systems, Mitsubishi Electric develops and manufactures motor control units (MCUs) that integrate the key components of the motor, inverter, and control circuit. To meet the high safety requirements for autonomous driving and support new systems such as steer-by-wire, we have begun mass production of slim, high-output MCUs with redundant key functions that continue to operate even if some functions fail.

Mitsubishi Electric is working toward social implementation of robot delivery services as a solution to social challenges related to logistics, including the increasingly severe labor shortage in the logistics industry and the growing number of people who face difficulties in buying daily essentials. We will develop the business utilizing a robot with outstanding travel performance from the U.S. startup company we are partnering with, looking to enable vertical movement by interfacing with elevators in order to help build a society where robots can deliver products safety anywhere and anytime.
