To strengthen DX, IT, and security in the Mitsubishi Electric Group, we reorganized our divisions and in April 2025 established the Digital Innovation Business Group and Mitsubishi Electric Digital Innovation Corporation. Through digital innovation, we support the realization of the Mitsubishi Electric Group's circular digital engineering, while also contributing to the growth of our customers and the resolution of increasingly diverse social challenges.

“Rulerless” 3D Measurement Application
“Rulerless” 3D Measurement Application
Rulerless is an application that enables fast and high-precision 3D shape measurements using the light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensor built into smartphones and other devices. As it does not require expensive LiDAR equipment, it can be used in various scenarios such as disaster surveys, equipment inspections, simulations of equipment installation in factories, and layout planning.
The application has been recognized for its ease of use and high social contribution in accelerating support for disaster victims’ recovery. In January 2024, it won an Innovation Award at CES 2024, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, held in Las Vegas, Nevada (United States). Furthermore, in response to the "2024 problem" in Japan's logistics sector, we are developing a new service called “Truck Load Factor Measurement Service for Logistics and Manufacturing (Shippers)” using Rulerless, helping to resolve social challenges facing the logistics infrastructure that supports society.
Supporting Environmental Management by Visualizing GHG Emissions across the Entire Supply Chain
“cocono” GHG* Emission Data Centralized Management Solution
cocono is a solution that collects and visualizes greenhouse gas (GHG) data without manual intervention, supporting the identification of hotspots, as well as analysis and measures for GHG reduction.
Companies aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050 need to perform the complex task of collecting and calculating data on emissions from the supply chains outside their company (Scope 3*) in addition to emissions from their own activities (Scope 1 and 2*).
cocono reduces this workload and supports companies in promoting carbon neutrality by helping them utilize fresh and accurate data for management decisions.
- Scope 1: Direct GHG emissions by the business operator (fuel combustion, industrial processes)
Scope 2: Indirect emissions associated with the use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by other companies
Scope 3: Indirect emissions other than Scope 1 and Scope 2 (emissions from other companies related to the business operator’s activities)

Supporting Operations of Health Insurance Pharmacies, which Play a Pivotal Role in Local Health Management
“AnyCOMPASS,” a Next-Generation Communication Service for Health Insurance Pharmacies
Responding to calls for the development of comprehensive community care systems, AnyCOMPASS is a cloud-based service that supports the operations of health insurance pharmacies, which play a pivotal role in health management in each local area. Its launch offering, a cloud-based electronic medication record system, incorporates multiple patented technologies, such as the Patient Timeline function that displays patient interactions in chronological order and the Guidance Point Navigation function. This goes beyond simple medication record management by supporting medication guidance tailored to each patient. To further enhance the service, we have been offering the AI Assistant function since January 2025. Leveraging generative AI to assist in medication guidance and medication record creation, we aim to improve the sophistication and efficiency of pharmacists’ work and help to create an environment where they can focus more on higher-value-added interpersonal work. In December 2025, in recognition of this innovative initiative, AnyCOMPASS received the Excellence Award at the Generative AI Awards 2025.
Currently, we are developing an all-in-one platform for health insurance pharmacies using AI agents. We will continue to support efforts to further transform pharmacy operations.
