Full/Hybrid SiC power module
Full SiC IPM

With more emphasis being placed on the energy-saving and downsizing of power conversion systems, SiC, with its outstanding material characteristics, is anticipated to be adopted across a broader area as a semiconductor material. Mitsubishi Electric began mass production of SiC modules as the 1st generation in 2013. In order to contribute to even higher efficiency, downsizing, and weight reduction of industrial equipment, we have enhanced our lineup with the SiC power module (with a built-in short-circuit control circuit) as the 2nd generation SiC module, the hybrid SiC power module, and full SiC-IPM.

Features

  • Contributes to the high efficiency, downsizing and weight reduction of equipment through a low-loss characteristic and high carrier frequency drive
  • Achieves both short circuit withstand capability and low ON-resistance by featuring an RTC circuit
  • Heat dissipation is improved through optimization of the internal chip layout

Applications

  • Motion control
  • Renewable energy
  • Power supply, Uninterruptable power supply (UPS)
