Under Our Philosophy, the Mitsubishi Electric Group has defined its Purpose as “We create new possibilities for a better tomorrow, with bold vision and boundless innovation,” and places sustainability at the cornerstone of its management. By accelerating “Trade-On (mutual benefits)” initiatives that simultaneously address social and environmental challenges and drive business growth, we aim to achieve the sustainable development of both society and the Mitsubishi Electric Group. We also recognize our contribution to environmental sustainability as a key management priority and create new value across the entire value chain through our diverse businesses. With pride and passion, we are committed to initiatives that contribute to the realization of a sustainable global environment.
Carbon Neutrality, Circular Economy, and Nature-Positive are the three focus areas of our Environmental Sustainability Vision 2050. Across these focus areas, we will create new value that contributes to solving environmental challenges through two complementary approaches: creating solutions that leverage our digital platform “Serendie®” and strengthening our component technologies and businesses. In addition, we will comply with environmental laws and regulations and relevant social norms associated with our business activities, while accelerating climate action, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain and advancing resource circulation, harmony with nature, and the prevention of environmental pollution, thereby striving to reduce our environmental impact.
