Mitsubishi Electric exhibits at Eco Products 2011
Mitsubishi Electric participated in the Eco Products 2011 exhibition, held at Tokyo Big Sight on December 15-17, 2011. Organized around the theme of becoming a global leading green company and helping to create a low-carbon, recycling-based society through all of our businesses, our booth showed examples of how the Mitsubishi Electric Group is striving to reduce the environmental impact of its products. On the main stage, through discussions between a "wise man of the woods" (projected on a semi-spherical screen) and the booth's navigator, we introduced the Group's initiatives to help protect the environment. Within the booth, we also set up an "electricity savings tour" to help introduce new ways to conserve electricity and save energy in the home and in society. In addition, because students from numerous elementary and junior high schools visit the Eco Products venue each year, we held a fun "karuta" (Japanese playing cards) game contest, also running an advertisement in a children's newspaper before the event, to announce the contest.
