Mangrove forest preservation project in Thailand

Company volunteers from Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd. (SCI), a Mitsubishi Electric Group company, and their family members joined a forest preservation event November 20, 2011 alongside some 300 people and planted 500 young mangrove trees in an effort to help rehabilitate the mangrove forest, improve ecological balance, and increase the economic welfare of the community of Laemchabang district, located in Chonburi Province, Thailand. Part of CSR activities between company and local community, the team also released crabs back into the wild to restore the Laemchabang coastal area where wildlife numbers have been on the decrease.
