Special Protection Scheme / Remedial Action Scheme

Special Protection Scheme prevents wide-area blackout in case of severe faults. Stability, frequency or voltage problems can be solved by SPS’s enough robustness and adaptiveness, and transmission capacity can be raised up to the thermal limit of transmission lines.
