High Reliability <10-VPR-D>

  • Applying Mitsubishi Electric’s conventional vacuum valve technology as the basis, arc control technology and insulation design are leveraged to reduce size even further (i.e., 84% compared to conventional products) and increase reliability (E2 class).
  • The self-cooling VCB eliminates the need to mount a fan on the panel for a wide rated current range, from 600A to 3150A.
  • VCB has passed M2/E2/C2-class tests, ensuring high-quality standards compliant with IEC62271-100-2012.

High Level of Safety <10-VPR-D>

Exposure of hot components in the main circuit are minimized in VCBs with rated currents up to 3150A. This increases safety through prevention of potential hazards such as short-circuiting caused by the intrusion of small animals.

Easy Installation and Simple Maintenance <10-VPR-D>

  • Mechanical parts are coated with a long-life grease, helping to prevent oxidation and degradation, and lubricant-free bearings are used in the latch, thus extending the lubrication cycle for operational mechanisms from three years to six and reducing the time required for maintenance.
  • VCB removal and insert operation features a new external drawer operation method that uses a cam-slide mechanism in addition to the conventional lever-based removal/insert operation method, thereby making removal/insertion easier, quicker, and safer.
  • Enhanced options include an additional auxiliary switch and earthing switch.
  • VCBs with rated currents up to 3150A can be shipped with the panel using shipping clamps.
  • Can be easily exchanged with conventional model (10-VPR-C Series) mounting frame (same mounting hole positions, terminal/partition positions).

Eco-conscious Design <10-VPR-D>

  • Does not use any of the six specified hazardous substances (mercury, cadmium, lead, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers; under regulated values stipulated by RoHS in force since FY2006). Another example is, use of a rust-proofing treatment for small parts, such as pins and screws, that is free of hexavalent chromium (i.e., a substance known to contaminate soil).
  • Recycling facilitated by displaying the names of materials used on major plastic parts.
